Custom Fit
All custom fit car covers are tailored with specific measurements to fit your automobile exactly. These covers are custom made after getting the exact make and model specifications from the automaker. And this is why custom fit covers always fit better.
Friction
The term is used in physics. Friction involves two or more objects and is caused when one or more objects move against the other and this action generates energy in the form of heat. This causes massive surface degradation.
Neoprene
Neoprene is an oil resistant material that was designed as an alternative to natural rubber. However based on extensive research, this material is now used in various other applications too. Neoprene is a basic component in wet suits and so you can imagine how water resistant it will be. Neoprene is also widely used in electrical insulation, fan belts, gaskets, noise insulation pads and even seat covers.
Pelts
Pelt looks like animal skin. It has the appearance of fur, hair or wool still attached. Seat covers made with pelts have an advantage as they do not shed like fur seat covers do.
Pink Slip
It an American slang that is used by street racers and it is referred to a vehicle. The term is used during street races where the pink slips are offered as wagers on a race. After a race, the winner often keeps the losers vehicle. It is often advised by DMV that while driving you must not keep your pink slip in the glove box just in case your vehicle is ever stolen.
Polyester
A Polyester is a strong, lightweight and synthetic fiber, which has become extremely popular been used for its water-resistant qualities. Today the fabric is extensively used in many areas.
Semi-Custom Fit
As the name suggests, semi-custom fit covers are not completely customized and are also not completely universal. Actually, these covers are 80% customized.
Universal Fit
A universal fit car seat cover works on any seat. However when it comes to fitting, it is not as good because the measurements often tend to become too much or too less.
Ultra violet light
Ultra violet light is an electromagnetic wave which comes from the Sun. Human eye cannot detect this light although the light can be seen by birds, snakes and insects species. Ultra violet radiation emitted by the sun is mostly filtered out by the atmosphere, but some of it comes through and this is what causes the damage. |
